Safety Supplies

The following list of safety supplies is designed to help you make your child’s daily environment as safe as possible.

Safety Supplies:

• Syrup of ipecac to use in certain types of poisoning.
• Plastic plug covers for electric outlets.
• Plastic outlet covers to use when an electric cord is plugged into the outlet.
• Cabinet latches and locks to keep children away from medicines, cleaning supplies, knives, etc.
• Emergency telephone numbers for quick dialing.
• Smoke detectors with working batteries.
• A fire extinguisher
• A hot-water gauge for measuring the temperature of tap water.
• First Aid Kit
